Chef's Note: This is a very old Italian peasant dish. It has survived the centuries well. The Italians call it Pasta e Fagoli.
Ingredients:
3 cups of Cooked Pasta (your Choice)1 can of Red or Great Northern Beans (your Choice)2 cups Sweet Italian Sausage in Patties (without casing)1 cup Pork scissored into bite size pieces2 cups Spaghetti Sauce1 cup Parmesan Cheese2 tsp. Oregano1/2 tsp. Garlic powder1/2 tsp. MSG3 tbsp. oilDirections:
Preheat your oven to 350 F.
Cook Pasta with 1 tbsp. oil to prevent sticking
While Pasta is cooking, saute the pork and sausage in 2 tbsp. oil
Place pasta in a Casserole Dish and mix with pork and sausage
Drain can of Beans and mix with pasta
Mix Spaghetti Sauce with Garlic powder, MSG and Oregano
Cover Pasta and Beans with Spaghetti Sauce, top with Parmesan Cheese, put the top on the Casserole dish and cook for 15 minutes at 350 F in the oven. >
